About Us
HISTORY
The Shepherd's Guide was started in 1980 in Baltimore, Maryland. In 1988, it was introduced to Canada where local publishers independently own and operate each area. The Shepherd’s Guide has grown to serve fourteen areas across six provinces in Canada and over 100 Metropolitan areas in North America. Over four million copies of The Shepherd’s Guide are printed each year, making it the largest Christian directory in the world.
OUR PURPOSE
We strive to strengthen, edify and unite the Body of Christ by providing a vehicle by which Christian consumers can find Christian professionals in every area of business and ministry. We offer a means by which Christian business people can connect with each other to establish strategic alliances for mutual encouragement and synergy. We desire to break down the walls of division between Christians so that Jesus prayer would become a reality, “May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me.” (John 17:23 NIV)
STATEMENT OF FAITH
Why is The Shepherd's Guide unique? We are not just another directory, but a Christian business directory that emphasizes trust as the central ethic of our publication.
