Helping people in their journey to financial freedom is my goal. Budgeting is my area of expertise. My strategy for budgeting uses biblical-based principles for stewarding our money.

I started refining my approach to budgeting to better manage the fluctuating incomes and expenses experienced within a farming operation. As a caregiver being responsible for getting finances in order for loved ones, I was able to use it as an opportunity to refine my approach to budgeting even further. Different situations come with different challenges.

My personal epiphanies left me wanting to share what I’ve learned with others. In order to reach as many people as possible, I developed a software application that uses my approach to budgeting, including having the ability to see how a budget will play out in real time. It’s this feature that sets my approach to budgeting apart from others. Seeing how a budget plays out in real time provides an opportunity to identify and effectively manage potential cash crunches as well as to see when money is available to save and/or pay down debt.

I am a Toastmaster. I played all the school sports. My favorite sports are hockey and baseball, but I am glued to the TV for the Superbowl. I like music and especially like to sing.

One of my greatest joys has been mission trips to share the gospel message in Nicaragua as well as in Little Grand Rapids in Manitoba.

My alter ego is “Nancy Sticks Drew”. My love of solving problems became evident when I learned to read by reading the Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys books. I was captivated by learning to add and subtract using popsicle sticks, which lead to a lifelong love of math.
