Journeyman Carpenter

Outline:

Position: Full-time, private non-union
Title: General Carpenter
Area of Work: 95% Ottawa Area – City Limits (almost always within city limits)
Rate: $29.00-$35.00 dependent on experience
Benefits: Company is working on basic benefit plan in 2023
Vacation: Standard Vacation
Vehicle: Must have own vehicle and clean drivers abstract (may be times when will be in company vehicle with lead)
Travel: Must be willing and able to travel in the City Limits of Ottawa, some outside Ottawa work (eg. Renfrew, Constance Bay, Navan, Rockland)
Tools: Must have own tools (large power tools provided by The Conscious Builder)

Skills

Currently a Carpenter with minimum 5 years hands on experience with residential (home renovation, additions or new builds) including Demolition, Footing and ICF work; Framing; Window and door installation; Exterior siding of all kinds; Insulation work; Drywall work; Interior door and Trim work; Flooring, Tile Work, Cabinetry Installation.
General Responsibilities also include: Material take offs and ordering; Supervision and management of other employees and sub-trades for the project assigned; Read and interpret construction plans; Submit any receipts in an organized manner to the office; Completion of Daily Work Logs; Working as a team with fellow employees and sub-trades.
H&S

Ministry H&S Certificate
Understanding of basic H&S
Understanding of site safety, PPE and completion of daily logs
Training arrangements can be provided by The Conscious Builder upon hire.
