I love this place, Peter is an amazing dentist and his staff are lovely, friendly, meticulous, happy, and did I mention lovely? Comfortable, clean office… TVs at each chair… keurig machine is awesome on cold days…. Good at dealing with insurance, including multiple insurers…. and you don’t have to be embarrassed going in there when you’ve been lazy for six or 8 months and haven’t been flossing… they fix you right up and are very kind. I’d love to see them add a bionaire air purifier or something in the waiting area for that “dental office” smell… but they have some nice candles. Dr.Peter is young and energetic and thinks in a modern, holistic manner. He’s happy to try new things and has experimented on himself with some of the new technologies and methods… so he knows what he’s talking about.

My experience was great! I really liked the staff. They were all very kind and approachable. I liked that it was quick to book an appointment (which would take 1 month in other dentist). I had my yearly cleaning. I would say I do feel they did a very good job, which was about an hour. They also recommended how I can maximize my student plan by having my oral exam-which I did. They were able to show it to me the xray and answer all my questions. I didn’t feel rushed on both experience. Other bonus: It’s really easy to go here by bus which is convenient for me. It would be better if next time they could actually show me how to properly floss since they only said it verbally. I would’ve understood better if they made me do it and commented if was right. Overall, I would go back here. ?

I have suffered a lot of pain at the hands of Dr.Yoo, but I am pleased to say that the majority of it has had to do with my lax oral hygiene. He has slowly been working me back to oral health and I am thankful for his patience and good humor. I have learned more about oral hygiene and dentistry in the last three years than I ever wanted to know but I would definitely recommend Dr. Yoo to anybody who is tired of Dentists who are only interested in your money. Two Molars Up…(or was that out) ;0

A graduate from the University of Alberta Dentistry in 2003, Peter is a father of 4 boys and a loving wife. Born and raised in Edmonton, he enjoys volleyball, golf and appreciates the warm personalities of Albertans. He strives to provide dental care with excellence and a conservative approach.
Dr. Jenn Kim, Doctor of Dental Surgery
Dr. Kim earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Toronto. She moved to Edmonton in 2016, and fell in love with the city that became home to her family of four. Dr. Kim strongly believes in good communication and conservative dental treatment. She absolutely loves kids, and welcomes patients of all ages. Dr. Kim immigrated from South Korea in 2001, and is able to converse in Korean if preferred. 한국어 상담 가능합니다.
Dr. Bona Zhang, Doctor of Dental Surgery
Dr. Bona Zhang was born in China, yet has called Edmonton home since early childhood. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Alberta, and in addition, Dr. Zhang was also awarded an honorary Bachelor of Medical Sciences degree. Dr. Zhang enjoys serving patients in all aspects of dentistry and has a special interest in oral surgery, periodontics, and oral pathology. Empathetic communication and compassion are the cornerstones of her care, and easing dental anxiety and providing a positive experience for everyone is one of her main priorities. In her spare time, Dr. Zhang likes to read books, go on coffee dates with friends, and gush over pictures of cute animals.
Su, Receptionist
Su was born in Korea and moved to Edmonton when I was 16 years old. She a mother of two lovely girls and likes to spend time crafting, biking and camping with family. It’s pleasure to help patients with kindness and confidence.
Riley, Registered Dental Assistant
Riley graduated from KDM Dental College and after graduating, she started her career with The Tooth Doctor. Riley was born in Shanghai so she is able to speak mandarin, Cantonese and shanghainese. In her spare time, she enjoys going out with her young son and her husband Aaron…and she is a serious shopper.
Jessica, Registered Dental Assistant
Jessica was born and raised in Edmonton. She graduated from CDI Dental college with a strong desire to be part of the healthcare field. In her spare time, she loves going to the gym, camping/fishing and a committed mother.
Lina, Marketing
Lina has helped The Tooth Doctor from the first establishment and assisted in the background of its growth over the years.
She is originally from Vancouver where she worked in many different areas. She has a busy household of 4 boys. She enjoys various outdoor activities, cooking, eating tasty food, music, travelling and live shows.
Aminah, Dental Hygienist
Born in the Philippines, Aminah graduated as a dental hygienist in Ottawa and has worked at The Tooth Doctor since Feb 2015. In her spare time, she and her husband take things easy trail walking, sightseeing and cooking together. Amy, Sterilization Assistant
Amy is our sterilization technician. She has a passion for dental health. Amy was educated in Korea and in China, enabling her to speak both Korean and Mandarin. She has a beautiful daughter and a loving husband. In her spare time, she enjoys spending her family and friends, and enjoys cooking.
Dr. Peter Yoo opened the first Tooth Doctor dental office in 2009 in a prime location at 9939-75 Street in Edmonton just south of the Capilano Bridge. The Edmonton dental practice quickly grew and The Tooth Doctor built a reputation for providing exceptional care and had a knack for treating children.
Soon after, an opportunity presented itself for Dr. Yoo to purchase a second office in the nearby town of Tofield Alberta. The Tofield Tooth Doctor is at 5111-50 Street in Tofield and serves the surrounding rural communities.
The Tooth Doctor’s Ellerslie dental clinic opened its doors in 2017 to serve the fast-growing Southwest Edmonton communities. Located at 105A, 1006-103A Street SW the Ellerslie dental office is perfectly situated for easy access from Calgary Trail on Ellerslie Road.
