2 Chronicles 7:14 NIV
if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
Are you sensing the unrest all around you? You are not alone! Our government is in an unprecedented state of erratic unrest, along with all other worldwide governments, who too, are experiencing unstable environments. Not only that, but prominent Church leaders are being crushed under the weight of fleshly sin. Businesses are in financial distress and the talk of tariffs being implemented is causing uncertainty for many. The trickledown of this unrest is also looming over our families, causing undue stress on parents which results in the breakdown of our family units.
As Christians, we know we don’t fight against people but against the principalities of this world and against our true enemy, Satan. Without the knowledge of this we will spin our wheels trying to find solutions to problems that have no human solution. Okay, you are right, human actions will take care of some of these problems, but without wisdom beyond our understanding, we won’t know what actions we are to take.
Without godly wisdom we are like puppets in Satan’s hands. He has created in us this restless spirit which is pushing us to move ahead in our own effort and to do what we think is right. “Let’s name that it is a spirit pride.” When you think that outside of God’s help, we can do anything in our own strength we are prideful. Don’t worry, this is me at times too, “all of us are prideful to an extent.
I visualize it like a parent telling their teenage kids how to do something so things will go well with them. They think their parents know nothing, and out of a spirit of rebellion and with prideful actions, they do it their own way. Then, in the end, they realize they should have just listened.
Are we acting like those teenagers, not caring about what God has to say? Not asking Him questions, maybe not even wanting to know what he is saying? I tend to believe the root of all the problems in our governments, businesses, churches and our homes is that we have left out the core solution to those issues. If we will humble ourselves and to pray, listen and act on what God is sharing with his beloved children, us.” He will get us out of this mess if we let Him.

In today’s fast-paced world, it’s all about getting ahead, getting seen, and getting heard. Whoever appears more on social media platforms, whoever gets heard more on YouTube and assorted podcast arenas, will reach greater levels of success. Unfortunately, most of it is not well-deserved success. They haven't put in the years of hard work that our ancestors or previous generations have. They have often hit the height of their success in their early 30’s, providing us with information that is opinion based, without the years of experience, and, or research. Okay, I will admit not all of them I listen to are like that; there are many great sermons, podcasts and YouTube videos.
