ROLE SUMMARY
With a heart for both spiritual formation and authentic worship, the Associate Pastor will champion our Discipleship and Worship Ministries at Saanichton Bible Fellowship (SBF). This includes shaping a clear, vibrant pathway for discipleship and nurturing a worship culture that is Spirit-led, team-driven, and deeply rooted in community. The Associate Pastor will lead with humility and vision – empowering volunteers, fostering connection, and guiding teams with grace and purpose.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Discipleship & Spiritual Formation (Approx. 50%)
Partner with the Lead Pastor to develop and implement SBF’s Discipleship Pathway
Equip and mentor Small Group leaders, providing training and resources for effective leadership
Ensure individuals at all spiritual stages are supported and growing toward a Christ-centered life
Oversee pastoral care and collaborate with the Community Pastor to integrate newcomers into discipleship

Worship Leadership (Approx. 50%)
Foster a Spirit-led, healthy worship culture that reflects SBF’s Vision, Mission, and Values
Recruit, mentor, and develop volunteer worship teams, focusing on character, community, and competency
Lead and plan worship services in collaboration with the Lead Pastor and staff, personally leading about twice a month
Oversee team scheduling, rehearsals, and ensure the Worship Team models authentic, engaging worship
