Dean & Shelley Alexander have been publishing The Shepherd’s Guide together full time as a husband-wife team since 1995. They currently serve in four communities:

The Region of Niagara

The Golden Triangle (Kitchener-Waterloo)

The Greater London Area

The Greater Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville, and Brantford Area

Each publication takes roughly 3 months to prepare, produce and deliver.

Their family is now grown and three of their four adult kids are married and all four work in various Ontario cities.

We have also been blessed with 4 grandsons!

It is the privilege of Tan and Dai Ngo to join The Shepherd’s Guide team as we prepare the 2025-2026 edition.

We have been living and doing ministry work in Calgary for over 27 years. Currently, we are pastoring for the Vietnamese Community Church.

Tan Ngo is the founder and president of the Christian Expo/Christian Trade Show in Calgary (2011-2014), as well as a coordinator for the Christ Centered Professionals Club since 2009.

Terry earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Alberta in 1970 and a Master of Divinity from Luther Theological Seminary in 1974. He also holds a journeyman ticket in carpentry. He joined The Shepherd’s Guide in 1988 and published the first Canadian edition of in central Alberta that same year. Now, he and his wife Dawn (with the help of a close-knit team) publish physical and digital guides in 12 Canadian regions. They oversee the publication of nine others run by faithful publishing partners across Canada.

In 1995, Dawn received a diploma in business administration specializing in sales and marketing. Together with Terry, she founded Rising Oaks Ministries, which promotes and teaches the pursuit of a pure heart after God. “Our desire,” they will tell you, “is for every facet of our lives—whether business, family, or church—to come from a pure heart after God!” They have taken this message across Canada and into the United States, the Philippines, and Africa.

Terry and Dawn reside in Edmonton, Alberta and worship at Celebration Church. They have two sons, Ian and Cory, and one granddaughter, Madison. Over the years, they have “adopted” many additional children and grandchildren into their fold. One of their favorite hobbies is fishing in the summer.
