Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Launch on Saturday, September 26th @1:30pm at North Douglas Church, 675 Jolly Place (off Glanford). You’ll be inspired and equipped to pack fun shoebox gifts (with toys, school supplies & personal care items) for children around the world, ages 2-14. Johan’s family moved from Colombia to Chile to pursue a better life. When he received his shoebox gift ~ with a soccer ball! ~ he couldn’t help but wonder: “Why would someone send a gift to a child they had never met?” Johan wanted to learn more about the God who sent the special gift to remind him that he was loved and not forgotten. “My faith was encouraged” he said. “You can find happiness and joy through a simple box. But it’s not the box – it’s the God behind the box” he proclaimed.
